By August, they'd done the impossible: qualified for the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The entire town rallied behind them.

August 26, 1955. Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Morrisville vs. Delaware Township, New Jersey. The whole town watching. The whole state watching. A small Pennsylvania town on the biggest stage in youth baseball.

Morrisville won 4–3 on a walk-off home run by Rich Cominski — the first championship in Little League World Series history to be decided that way. Seventy years later, that moment still belongs to this town alone.
Morrisville Little League continues that tradition today. Young players learn the game on the same fields where champions were made. The "M" painted on the wall reminds them: greatness is possible here.
